COVID-19 a name of fear, loss, restlessness, hunger, isolation and what not. A viral disease that affects rigorously the respiratory system of a person and causing death of a person within days.

The person with little immunity is more likely to have this bug. The only solution to this problem is prevention and taking immunity boosters.

It’s highly infectious as it spreads from the victim if you’re near him. If you touch him or are at the place just visited by the COVID patient. That’s why SOPs include a safe distance and avoids gatherings and handshakes.

The number of cases reported worldwide till May, 2022 extended to 517 million and the life damage done by this virus is 6.3 million and it’s a huge figure.  

The most touched country by COVID-19 is US and the government was surly criticized for the failure in managing the destruction done by this mortal virus.

Ratio of death rate per country varied and was dependent on the precautions and preventions adopted by the public. Also the government role was important in getting people vaccinated and implementation of SOPs.


Symptoms of this infectious disease vary from person to person. A person suffering from this lethal disease, it’s not like that another victim of this bug will have the same signs.

But some of the common indications shared by a lot of COVID-19 patients include the followings:

  • Fever.
  • Fatigue.
  • Cough.
  • Lost taste and smell.
  • Headache.

Some of the symptoms are only observed in few people. But they also tested positive for this virus like:

  • Rashes on skin.
  • Irritation in eyes.
  • Sore throat.
  • Trouble while breathing.

It’s wisely said, “Prevention is better than cure”. So to avoid this fatal malady, there’re precautions that work to help you for sure.

  • Keep a distance of at least a meter from the people around you whether they’re affected or not.
  • Wear mask when you aren’t home.
  • Avoid congested and crowded locations whenever possible.
  • Get vaccinated as soon as possible.
  • Use sanitizers and keep yourself sanitized. Wash your hands frequently.
  • Get yourself quarantine if you feel dizzy and sick.

Social Impacts of COVID-19 throughout the World.

Hunger is the worst thing that happens due to any sudden and severe pandemic. And in this virus, due to lockdown and all the scenarios including inflation led to observable increase in hunger.

Health quality of the people is surely distressed and in this outbreak of COVID the health was the main concern.

The greater the immunity the people had, safer they were from this lethal disease. But due to lockdown, the routine of most of the people became unhealthy as they weren’t following exercises and healthy diets.

Employment is already a big issue of most of the developing countries and the plagues like COVID-19 add to the difficulties of people suffering in their lives previously.

Most affected persons in this hard time were daily wagers and self-employed persons as most of them lost their jobs or subjected to lowered pay rate. This definitely led to poverty and loans.  

Due to this deadly virus most of the schools and educational and vocational institutes remained close and disturbed the educational system around the world.

Students were not able to concentrate on their studies due to the worst conditions of their surroundings, the stress and hopelessness everywhere.

Surely the disaster had direct impacts on the GDPs of most of the countries. GDP of US declined to 2.4% and of Russia 4.8%. This loss is not easy to recover and people will suffer after the pandemic as well to become stable.

Not only health, business is also affected by this epidemic. In Germany, the survey was conducted and 10,000 companies spotted the difference in their business growth. 

Psychological Impacts of Covid-19.

The alteration in the environment or other biological factors that bangs consciousness and thoughts of any person hardly is said to be psychological impact.

The pandemic led to the stress and anxiety situations and most of them were adults and university going.

This stress led to blood pressure issues in most of the people and most of them faced depression complaints.

Long Term Effects of COVID-19.

This is also known as Post COVID syndrome. Mostly people recover within 14 days of their diagnosis. While some persons don’t recover completely and face some issues to get rid of the symptoms that live with them for long term. Symptoms include:

  • Muscles pain for considerable long time.
  • Anxiety and depression.

  • Increased heartbeat rate.
  • Constant body pains.
  • Unclear thoughts and mental instability.
  • Faintness.
  • Diarrhea

  • High blood pressure.
  • Beginning of diabetes.
  • Also affect the functioning of lungs, heart and the nervous system causing severe problems to the health of victim.
  • The disease do affect the blood and cause it to clump and this leads to the heart issues and resulting in a heart attack at the end.
